# Quickstart

## Get your API key

Before you hook in to the Luminous API, you will need an API key. Navigate to **Settings > API Tokens** (`/settings/api-tokens`) and click **Create API Token**.

Once you have a valid API key, head over to [API Reference](/api-reference) to start building.
