# Replace shipping rules

> Replace the whole ordered list of shipping rules. The list is in apply order and replaces
everything saved; `{ "rules": [] }` clears it.

Writes are validated strictly — nothing is saved if any rule has an error. Errors are reported
for unknown fields, conditions or effects; invalid state, country, packing-class or day values;
channel ids that don't exist; `maxTransitDays` outside 1–30; `lock` without `services`; a rule
that does nothing; a missing or duplicate `name`; and more than 100 rules.

On success the cleaned rules are returned: values are trimmed and de-duplicated, codes are
upper-cased, days are written as Mon…Sun in week order, and empty conditions are dropped.

Available to every account. When per-user permissions are enabled, the token's owner needs the `fulfillmentSettings.read` permission (the same as the Operations Admin pages); otherwise `403`.
