# Get custom field definitions

> List all custom field definitions (schema). Optionally filter to only the
fields applicable to a specific entity type.

This endpoint returns the **schema** of custom fields (label, type, options,
which entity types they apply to). To read or write **values** on a specific
record, use `/{recordType}/{recordId}/custom-fields`.
